So on Friday I went to Midvalley in the morning with Thomas's gang. My agenda was to watch movie and buy some books. The movie was "Underworld 3 :Rise of the Lycans". Really let them zadou, the movie was rated <<18:sg>>, but don't care la, 18 or not we also lined up to buy the tickets, 9 admission tickets total.
At the counter, the ticket seller asked Thomas,"Confirm all 18 ah?"
Thomas:"Ah...Yes"
LOL, then we went to McDonald's opposite the GSC cinema. We debated whether the person will allow us to enter or not, maybe they might ask for our IC card. Then the guys said:" Thomas look so mature, sure let us in one" LOL. But meh...
I went to buy my books before the show starts, still couldn't find the book "Night Angel Trilogy: Beyond the Shadows". Kinda wanna screw MPH for having minimum stock of books. Anyway I still got myself two books and costed RM100 :O
We made our way to the cinema entrance, and then gave all the tickets to the guy guarding the entrance. He looked at us in doubt if we are all 18, but he wouldn't stop us would he? We paid for the tickets and they have to refund if they don't let us in. Haha, loop hole in their laws.
The movie was quite awesome, but some parts are predictable. (You'll find no movie spoilers here) Though there is a scene where they cut out, (You know, the scene where they do things couples do on bed and no it's not playing cards :P )
After the show we went to have our lunch at "Oasis Food Court", newly opened in Midvalley, situated where the old IT center used to be. Feels a bit odd walking in there, the peoples in the stall keep calling "Leng Cai Leng Cai, want xxxxxx or not?" (xxxxxx refers to the food they are selling). But it feels like I walked into some brothel or something LOL.
Thomas went searching for "present for a girl" ;D and we met up with Samson, SongGuang, Bryan and WengYin on the way in MetroJaya departmental. Then we walked the walk and talked the talk in Oasis Food Court again :O
After that the guys went for the movie and Thomas and his gang went to play pool. I was left alone and I took KTM back on my own.
Something happened on that train that made me quite happy. I was standing on the train because there were no place to sit. Opposite of me was a Malay boy at the age of around 20+, most probably UKM student from what I heard in his phone conversation. His phone rang and I heard some familiar acoustic guitar riffs like in Yellowcard's song "One Year, Six Months", but he answered the phone in 1 second as soon as the phone rang, so I wasn't sure. But heck I was wondering if there was such an coincidence, two Yellowcard fans standing face to face. From my experience, I have almost never met another person who is the fan of or even know Yellowcard without my influence.
Then after a minute of two, his phone rang again, this time he answered the phone around 3 seconds into the song and I can be damned sure that it was "One Year, Six Months". Haha, it's really really hard to find someone who listens to Yellowcard these days. It made my day just to know that Yellowcard is still not dead in Malaysia, yet. All I can say is "Oya Yellowcard"
(Oya means "Let's hunt!" and also "Stay alive!", but also "Hoorah!", "Go you!", "Cheers!" Always positive and triumphant in a language called Mando'a)
So, till then, Oya~ (Cheers)
