Odyssey No.18: Golden Jockeys and Prom Night

PROM PROM PROM PROM RPOMRPOMRPOMRPRMOPRMPORMOPR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Haha... Sorry for the long wait. We actually had this prom night nearly a month ago and I only manage to find time to post it today.
So! This prom ah, really brings us tons of memories la. I still remember earlier this year in March or April Fui Chin, Wei Herng, Jia Jun, Cyrus, Koh Lee and me were discussing on how to organize a prom for our school. We had a couple of meeting before deciding to do it at Crystal Oriental. And so we had quite some interesting discussions on what to do for the prom. Really exciting you know XD
Then I heard from Minyi that she and her friends are organizing a prom too, then dunno how la we began to have talks about having a joint prom through MSN.
We scheduled for a couple of meetings between both side of the schools, and that's how I got to know Jin Rui, Natasya, Sin Yin, Suzen, Chee Yern, Melvin and Connie. Well except for Connie which I did not get to know well, the others are very crazy friends of mine now, we did off-prom activities together like the Peace Day @ Sunway Pyramid, and also MyCJN Dance for the Planet. I think this is actually of the turning points in my life, they made me realize that there are more in this world than what we can see, they got me into tons of crazy stuffs that I realized I hasn't have before. I have to say, it's been good to know you guys :)
So along the road, we did have some arguments and crisis. The Ancasa Hotel thing, us having disagreement about the venue, committee members leaving the group, having not enough peoples and supports... So forth. But in the end I say we have no regrets, it was indeed a wonderful night, although some might be disappointed with the low turnout.
We apologize because it's our fault we have not been trying harder to convince peoples to come.
So, please accept our apologies if you think it's not worth your money, we did our best with what we could make do.

I haven't mentioned that our final venue was at the Palace of Golden Horses. Yep, it's a very impressive place to be in. The environment is AWESOME! It's just too beautiful to be true XD
Anyways, a few days before the prom, we had been going to and fro to the Palace to negotiate our prices, because we are really tight on budget. At first they offered us the cocktail menu, which is basically all finger food :O. Yea that's the only menu we can afford with the ticket price at RM95. But the executive who were dealing with our event Ms. Farah was so kind that she gave us the Buffer menu for the same price and then lowered our minimum participants from 100 to 75. My thanks to her and the Palace, VERY MUCH!!!
And so on that day in the morning, we went there to have a look at the preparations of the venue and PA system. All went well smoothly XD
When we were on our way out, we saw that the Palace even had our prom posted on their welcoming screen HAHA!

Yea we chilled out in the afternoon to get ready. I went to school to pick up ah Hwa, ah Ying, Ah T, ah Hao to the prom lol.
So we got there and did some preparation works lor, before the reception started at 6pm.

The food on that night was BOOTILICIOUS!

And this man, named Hunter, is our main host for the night. He's GREAT! Very dedicated Emcee, tried his best to give us a good show, which he did!
This was us presenting our cake of appreciation to Ms. Farah. THANK YOU AGAIN!

And we have another break dancer, Aaron Chin. He was very good too! Though I didn't really watched his performance.

Aaron:"I cannot meh? My kick lagi bergaya than yours!"
Malay Guy:"I bet you cannot do the monkey dance!"
Aaron:"Ceh...I bet you cannot stick to the ceilling! RAWRZ!"
Malay Guy:"OMGWTF!"
Haha, no offense meant!
Then after that Hunter sang us a song, Paparazzi by Lady Gaga.
Natasya became the mike stand and music stand LOL!
