A Tribute to 911

Paying a tribute to those who perished during the 9/11 event in the year 2001.

This is a video, compiled of pictures from that day the world stood still as they watch the event unfold in front of their eyes.

Song: Yellowcard - Believe. This song was made as a tribute to the heroes who risked their lives that day saving the peoples from the twin towers. One band member from Yellowcard, Sean Mackin the violinist, was in one of the towers that day and was saved by one of the firefighters.

And not to forget...

Happy Birthday to Lixuan and Xin!!!

The Emo Post

Two days ago,we were having Chinese lessons and the teacher was doing revision for "名句精华". Then Weng Yin asked, why most of the sentences were used to describe missing of love ones, lost love, and almost anything you can think of related to love.

Our teacher said," Aiya, in the old times, they got nothing to do ma."

Yin:" Got nothing to do also no need to write love poems ma."

Teacher:" They all nothing to do, then emo lor, then write love poems lor."

LOL! Zadou... But true also la, only emo person will start to write emo poems xD

So this is what this post is all about, it's about me writing emo things, like you've never seen me =/

====================================================================

So uh... This section will just compose of a few random phrases and some pictures taken by me. Happy Emo-ing :P

I’ve got this picture of us in my mind,
The faces painted kind,
The smiles true.
It never lasts it seems the colors fade.
With every point I make,
She’ll inch away.

I get this feeling when I look at you
The bottle sees you too,
He’s on your side.
It always seems the tighter fist I make,
The more they slip away.

One is always wrong, the other holding on.
One of us does not belong here.

Hearts gone astray,
Deep in her when they go.
I ran away,
Just when you needed me so.
You won't regret,
I come back begging you.
Won't you forget,
Welcome the love we once knew.

Open up yours eyes,
Then you'll realise,
Here I stand with my everlasting love.
I need you by my side, girl
To be my pride,
Never be denied everlasting love.
From the very start open up your heart,
Feel that you've fall in,
Everlasting love.

-Jamie Cullum

Sew this up with threads of reasons are regrets,
So I will not forget.
How this felt one year six months ago I know,
I cannot forgot, how can I forgot?

I can tell that you don't know me anymore,
It's easy to forget,
Sometimes we just forget.
Being on this road is anything but sure,
Maybe we'll forgot,
I hope we don't forget.

So many nights,
Legs tangled tight,
Wrap me up in a dream with you.
Close up these eyes,
Try not to cry,
All that I've got to pull me through,
Is memories of you.

-Yellowcard

Walking down the memory lane,
Sieving away the reminiscence of the lost love,
But alas, lost love?
It was never mine to begin with.

They say humans need love to last forever,
Can I disprove this?
But for every point I try to make,
It seems like I am just a mistreated kid,
Stripped from what's for me.

And the setting sun by the field,
Golden, as it wanes into the horizon.
But mine was not as brilliant, no,
It died without a sound,
Yet however tender it once was.

This is the deepest cut I,
Think I have ever felt,
These are the things I think but I will never tell.
I'm trying to walk these bridges,
Burning beneath my feet,
Well I am an echo I am heard but never seen.

This is a mirror image,
Of everything I'm not,
Always reflecting what I've learned but was not taught.
If I could make things different,
If I could press restart,
Then I would hold back every breath that went too far.

Sometimes I feel like I am working in the dark,
Collecting names collecting all the mending hearts.
And if your one that I have missed along the way,
Then I'm rehearsing all the things I'd like to say.
This isn't easy for me,
This isn't easy.

These are your hearts,
Like bombs they're coming down,
They're falling on me now.

And this my last try,
Got one thing left to prove,
There's a bomber in me too.

Chinese New Year and "Oya, Yellowcard!"

Wa~ This Chinese New Year gila gila punya. The first, second and third day was as usual, fourth day pula my mother side's relatives said they wanna come my house.

Haiz, they all gila gamble de, go where gamble where during Chinese New Year. It's like a Casino Tour for them or something. So my house is full of peoples on Thursday, barely have a place to sit.

These are them gambling LOL!

Play until so late before going back.  :(

Chinese New Year do suck sometimes.

So on Friday I went to Midvalley in the morning with Thomas's gang. My agenda was to watch movie and buy some books. The movie was "Underworld 3 :Rise of the Lycans". Really let them zadou, the movie was rated <<18:sg>>, but don't care la, 18 or not we also lined up to buy the tickets, 9 admission tickets total.

At the counter, the ticket seller asked Thomas,"Confirm all 18 ah?"

Thomas:"Ah...Yes"

LOL, then we went to McDonald's opposite the GSC cinema. We debated whether the person will allow us to enter or not, maybe they might ask for our IC card. Then the guys said:" Thomas look so mature, sure let us in one" LOL. But meh...

I went to buy my books before the show starts, still couldn't find the book "Night Angel Trilogy: Beyond the Shadows". Kinda wanna screw MPH for having minimum stock of books. Anyway I still got myself two books and costed RM100   :O

We made our way to the cinema entrance, and then gave all the tickets to the guy guarding the entrance. He looked at us in doubt if we are all 18, but he wouldn't stop us would he? We paid for the tickets and they have to refund if they don't let us in. Haha, loop hole in their laws.

The movie was quite awesome, but some parts are predictable. (You'll find no movie spoilers here) Though there is a scene where they cut out, (You know, the scene where they do things couples do on bed and no it's not playing cards :P )

After the show we went to have our lunch at "Oasis Food Court", newly opened in Midvalley, situated where the old IT center used to be. Feels a bit odd walking in there, the peoples in the stall keep calling "Leng Cai Leng Cai, want xxxxxx or not?" (xxxxxx refers to the food they are selling). But it feels like I walked into some brothel or something LOL.

Thomas went searching for "present for a girl" ;D and we met up with Samson, SongGuang, Bryan and WengYin on the way in MetroJaya departmental. Then we walked the walk and talked the talk in Oasis Food Court again :O

After that the guys went for the movie and Thomas and his gang went to play pool. I was left alone and I took KTM back on my own.

Something happened on that train that made me quite happy. I was standing on the train because there were no place to sit. Opposite of me was a Malay boy at the age of around 20+, most probably UKM student from what I heard in his phone conversation. His phone rang and I heard some familiar acoustic guitar riffs like in Yellowcard's song "One Year, Six Months", but he answered the phone in 1 second as soon as the phone rang, so I wasn't sure. But heck I was wondering if there was such an coincidence, two Yellowcard fans standing face to face. From my experience, I have almost never met another person who is the fan of or even know Yellowcard without my influence.
Then after a minute of two, his phone rang again, this time he answered the phone around 3 seconds into the song and I can be damned sure that it was "One Year, Six Months". Haha, it's really really hard to find someone who listens to Yellowcard these days. It made my day just to know that Yellowcard is still not dead in Malaysia, yet. All I can say is "Oya Yellowcard"

(Oya means "Let's hunt!" and also "Stay alive!", but also "Hoorah!", "Go you!", "Cheers!" Always positive and triumphant in a language called Mando'a)

So, till then, Oya~ (Cheers)
